It’s 3:00 am and Marina Batham is on the night watch. Marina is no stranger to this type of situation. She grew up around boats of all shapes and sizes, as generations of her family have been avid sailors. Marina has sailed throughout the world and knows what it takes to navigate the waters no matter what the unpredictable oceans may bring. From being attentive to every detail on board to charting the best possible course, being out on the ocean is second nature for this dynamic woman who's name means "of the sea" in Latin. Marina was born in the British Virgin Islands, grew up in England and New Zealand and has since lived everywhere from Australia to China and she's traveled to just about every other culture in between.
When Marina and her husband, Mark, moved to Maui, they knew they had found their place. The diversity of culture and beautiful island scenery made for the perfect setting to raise their two daughters, Lucia and Sophia. Marina is passionate about the community and was even instrumental in the creation of a much-needed new high school in Kihei.
